"This letter is an expression of thanks and commendation to Adam and the staff at TDE’s Surry Hills location. It is intentionally addressed to all TDE locations because it is an example of a blend of kindness within business practice that is all but unheard of in 2009. Two weeks ago I took my 92 year old mother to the Antique Centre next door to the TDE at Surry Hills for afternoon tea. We were returning to the car when we found your showroom and enjoyed the kind of experience referred to in your website. Mum purchased a floor stock three- seat lounge for a price too good to refuse and delivery to her apartment in North Sydney was set for Thursday of the same week. The lounge has electric-recline controls and is ideal for her as she is still rehabilitating from a fall and hip fracture in 2008. It is also very heavy and despite our initial confidence, it could not fit into the buildings lifts and was returned to the factory. We rescheduled delivery for yesterday and Ben advised us that TDE staff would bring the lounge over to minimize costs and, if necessary, remove an arm of the piece to gain access. The TDE staff members encountered every hurdle imaginable and worked tirelessly for more than three hours to disassemble carry and reassemble the lounge in the room where mum spends most of her time with the TV and telephone at her side. ............when we asked him for an invoice he said that he had not been given any instructions in this regard. There is at least one more certainty for the future and that is that we will shop again at every opportunity at TDE and will tell our story and recommend your organization whenever and wherever we can.
